Towards its endeavors to pick ideas from diverse groups and stakeholders, the Team APFF’17 had a very useful brainstorming meeting with Ms. Marriyum Aurangzeb, State Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage, Government of Pakistan; Mr. Mobashir Hasan, Chairman, Pakistan Film Censor Board and Mr. Jamal Shah, a renowned artist and Director General of Pakistan National Council of Arts.
The team APFF was overwhelmed by the institutional interest and insightful ideas shared by the Minister and her team in making Asia Peace Film Festival an enduring forum of interaction for creative communities of Asian region.
The Minister was eager to invite representatives of film academies from the region to learn as how Pakistan could revive its film and cinema by benefiting from the experiences of other countries with similar socio-cultural backgrounds.
Based on these discussions, the team APFF decided to design and conduct a special session during the Festival in September 17 discussing “Contemporary Filmography in Asia: Learning from Each Other”.
Your ideas, recommendations and guidance would be warmly welcomed.
