Dr. Wajiha Raza Rizvi is the director of Film Museum Society and Associate Professor of Beaconhouse National University Lahore. She was trained in USA, UK and Norway. She studied at NCA, Lahore. She was awarded Chughtai Award for Excellence in Design. She got scholarship under FCOSAS to study television production techniques at North East Media Training Centre (European Media School) Tyne & Wear UK and did her MA in Television Documentary from Goldsmiths’ University of London as Chevening scholar. She did her PhD from the University of Punjab, Lahore.
She has worked for the public and private sectors, and has about 100 television productions, documentaries and commercials to her credit. Presently, she is working on “The Censorship of Visual Pleasure in Pakistani Cinema,” and is writing for The Encyclopedia of the world of Islam (Islamica) and the Encyclopedia of Women and Islamic Cultures
